Season's Change

Welcome back, Friends!  Come join me this week for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #78 - "Season's Change!"

This week's challenge is to create a card or project using ONLY colors of Fall!   Oooh, how pretty, huh?!

Our SPONSOR this week is  Magnolialicious
Our lucky winner's PRIZE:
Here is my DT creation for this week's AWESOME challenge theme....
An inside view of the card, and custom envelope/box.

All of the flowers on this card are handmade. I know, you're probably thinking, "oh what a lot of work!"  Actually, it really is not. I use paper punches to create the flowers and leaves. So, whenever I have very small scraps of paper I punch them with my floral punches & store them in a box for future use. It's very convenient for me to have the pieces already punched too. Then, whenever I get bored or often while I watch TV, I "form" the flowers & store them away so that they're ready when I need them.

This is my box of pre-cut flower pieces....
As you can see, I have various shapes & colors ready for use.

Here's a sampling of the flowers I've already prepared....
These flowers were made using punches - Geranium leaf, Sunburst, Apple, Balloon, Leaf, Small Daisy & Snowflake.

Project Materials
Stamps:  Basket Stamp from Purple Daisy Designs, Digital image from Raindrop Echo Designs
Ink:  Stampin' Up! Old Olive, Dusty Durango, Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip

I think this is such a fun card - it just goes on and on, and on, and on, and on.... and being the big kid that I am, I love "action" cards!  AND, the many dimensions of this card was a great way for me to show case not just one or two, but THREE  new digi's from Di's Digidownloads

Hello again, Friends!
It's time for the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #77: "Grid"
My DT Sisters and I challenge you to create a card or project that includes a GRID in some shape or form.

This week's Sponsor is Simon Says Stamp

Here is my DT creation for this week's "GRID" challenge
As you can see, I've been playing with my binding machine again...  I was stumped (again) for this "GRID" challenge so I was just playing around at first with the binder, and this new calendar stamp set & images.  Then all of a sudden  >BAM!<   it hit me:  the calendar is a grid (well, duh!)  So here we are, a 2010-2011 calendar.  Sometimes I feel my projects turn out so much better when I don't plan or think about it too hard.  I just go with the flow...  but boy, do I make a HUGANTUOUS mess during the creative surge process!

Here's a peek at the rest of the calendar....

Project Materials
Stamps:  September - Elizabeth O. Dulemba;  October - "House of Haunts" Stampin' Up!;  November - Stamp by Northern Woods;  December - Stamp by Penny Black;  January - Stamp by Magnolia;  February & April  - Digital images from Dover Publications;  March & August - Digital images from Digital Two for Tuesday;  May & June - "Echoes of Kindness" Stampin' Up!
Ink:  COPICS, Stampin' Up! Rich Razzleberry, Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Paper:  Stampin' Up! Rich Razzleberry, Night of Navy, Always Artichoke, Melon Mambo, Soft Suede; Momento Danube Blue; Ranger Distress Inks Antique Linen, Tea Dye

Paper: Stampin' Up! Rich Razzleberry, Marina Mist, Night of Navy, Cherry Cobbler, Old Olive, Melon Mambo; DCWV "At Home";  Basic Gray Eskimo Kisses; SEI Dill Blossom; Miscellaneous papers from stash & pages from an old book.
Tools:  Zutter Bind-it-All, Nestabilities Lattice Pendant, Martha Stewart Edge Punches,
Embellishments:  ZVA Pearls & Rhinestones, Ribbon with Pearls, Stampin' Up! Crystal Effects, Doilies, Lace

Whew!  That was a mouthful, wasn't it?!  Seems like a whole lot of fuss for this project, but really it wasn't.  I was able to use a lot a of paper scraps & items from a very old stash of goodies.  Several of the images used were my "colouring practice pieces,"  which were done some time ago but stowed away & forgotten for a while. I also recycled an image that was on a card that I didn't really like.  I thought this was such a great project not just for using old scraps and bits & pieces, but this would make a nice gift as well!

Do join us for our "Grid" challenge at the Stamptacular Sunday Challenge - my DT Sisters & I look forward to seeing your creations!

I have entered this project in the following challenges:
