I got the 'tude, yo! (lol)

Many thanks to my new friend & fellow blogger, Priyanka, who is aaaaaaall the way in exotic India.  I discovered Priyanka's blog not too long ago, and was so impressed with a beautiful piece she created to celebrate "Bijoya Dashami" in Autumn.  Can I just say that I was in awe of her hand drawn image, her ingenuity in creating her own embellishments, and her unique style. Her art is so expressive & embraces her pride in her culture.  I encourage you to stop by and check out her work.

Anway, thanks again to Priyanka for presenting me with this lovely award:

This award qualifies me for a  $5.00 Digi’s With Attitude! Gift Certificate.  I'm also obligated to list 3 things that makes me, and my blog different, then pass this award on to 5 others.

So without further ado, here's me (Annette) and Studio A Paper Creations in a nutshell:
  1. I love, love anything "Hello Kitty!"  I'm a big kid & while others may collect capodimonte figurines or Waterford crystal, I have penchant for  "Hello Kitty!"  And for the past few years, my friends have thrown me a "Hello Kitty!" themed birthday party. I'm so bad,  I once spent nearly 3 hours in the Hello Kitty store in L.A. - I felt like a kid in a candy store!
  2. I have a knack for remembering all of the colour names of papers, stamps, copics, etc and stamp designers....but I almost always have a bird of a time matching up those colors with the designer papers & stamps! When I hit that obstacle I end up making my own designer paper.
  3. When I make something to be posted on my blog, I rarely ever create anything that can be done in minutes. Often times I will start on one thing, let it sit for a day or two, or sometimes even longer - until I get a creative surge & I think up the perfect finish to what I'm working on.  I strive to be original & I put a lot of work into my projects - so I often create my own embellishments, especially handmade flowers.  And, I will not think twice about tearing a project up completely & starting all over again! Talk about OCD (lol)
....am I a piece of work or what?!

And now, I gladly pass this award on to my crafty, creative friends:

Ladies, your creations have inspired me & I happily pass this Award on to you. In order for you to qualify for the $5.00 Digi’s With Attitude! Gift Certificate too, you must state 3 things that makes you different from everyone else and you must nominate 5 blogs. Lastly, you must display the Blog Award Badge (above) in your sidebar and link it back to the Digi’s With Attitude! Challenge Blog.

Congrats to all - keep on creating!

  1. Hi Annette, thank you so much for thinking of me when handing out this lovely award. I truly wish I had the qualities of No. 2. I never remember the names of my papers or who made them. I need to keep little notelets in with them. But like you I take loads of time to make a project and often change the elements or even start from scratch because I'm not happy.

Your projects for CRAFT are always amazing, I can tell the amount of time and effort that go into each one. Don't change a thing cause that's what makes you special.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend.
    Hugs Suzi xx

Spring Flutterings

I had to squeeze some "quiet time" in today, because I did not have anytime last week to do anything.  My 8 month old "Baby Diva" has kept me busy, as she is staying with me while her Mommy is out of town till Wednesday.  Fortunately, she is such a good baby.  She must have known I was feining for some crafting time, because she was so cooperative! I was kind of all over the place with this card.  It has a little bit of everything: Stamping, stitching, handmade flowers ( you know me & my handmade flowers!), border punches, and a pretty butterfly.   I wanted to try making a new flower.  The larger flower was created using an apple, star & daisy punches.  Each of the flower centers have a touch of bling by Viva Decor glitter pen in "Hologram."  The butterfly was cut from a Nesties die.  I blinged up each layer with stickles & hit with 2 coats of Crystal Effects.  I used Kaiser Craft pearls in "Bliss" for the body & coiled some

Season's Change

Welcome back, Friends!  Come join me this week for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #78 - "Season's Change!" This week's challenge is to create a card or project using ONLY colors of Fall!   Oooh, how pretty, huh?! Our SPONSOR this week is  Magnolialicious Our lucky winner's PRIZE:  Here is my DT creation for this week's AWESOME challenge theme.... An inside view of the card, and custom envelope/box. All of the flowers on this card are handmade. I know, you're probably thinking, "oh what a lot of work!"  Actually, it really is not. I use paper punches to create the flowers and leaves. So, whenever I have very small scraps of paper I punch them with my floral punches & store them in a box for future use. It's very convenient for me to have the pieces already punched too. Then, whenever I get bored or often while I watch TV, I "form" the flowers & store them away so that they're ready when I need them. This is my box o
