BRRRR! Baby, it’s cold outside! ‘Hope everyone is staying warm & snuggly inside, because it is bitter out there ! Here's a lovely little box that was originally intended to be a candy box, but then I thought, how cute would this be as a post-it note holder for my desk? I used the Stampin’ Up Top Note Die – one of my personal favorites, for the top and bottom pieces, then attached them to a box. I wanted to put a ribbon around the outside of the box, but realized I had no ribbon to match. So, I got creative: I cut a strip of pink cardstock, and ran it through my paper crimper – presto! The perfect “ribbon” to wrap around the outside of my box. I had a bunch of scrap paper, which I recycled by cutting down to the size of a post-it note… then I went over the top & stamped a few of the top sheets (he-he! I just had to complete the look!) Rain, rain, go away!

Happy Monday! It’ a bleak, wet & dreary day in Virginia Beach – c’mon summer! Being the “Sun Goddess” that I am, I feel like I am withering away in this cold and rainy weather, and soooo looking forward to warm, bright & sunny days…. (Sigh!)... Think “ Sun !” Think “ Beach!” Think “ OMG! I better start dieting and exercising so I can wear my bathing suit! ” LOL! This blog thing is way too much fun ---even though it is time consuming & quite a bit of work. Right now, my biggest challenge is taking pictures! I spent most of the weekend editing photos of the projects I will be posting….ugh! There must to be an easier way?!! I'll get there eventually, so please bear with me as I try to get my picture-taking-mojo on….. I love making personalized stationary! I made this set for my sister, who also shares my passion for stationary (and anything Hello Kitty!) This set was so quick and easy to put together. I made several sets in different colors – all I have to do is stamp out

My Very First Challenge

TGIF! (Almost) First and foremost, thanks for stopping by! Between creating new projects and writing up the content for my posts, I have been sooooo busy! It did not take me long to discover how much dedication is required to maintain a blog… kudos to all bloggers! I’m feeling inspired all over again – thank goodness! Otherwise, what am I gonna do with all this craft “stuff”?! Today, I am participating in my very first challenge, hosted by The Sweet Shop – with a name like that, how could I possibly resist? The challege is to use ONLY a sentiment for the main focal point of the card. Here's my creation...... There are several different elements to this card. I wanted to try something a little different, so I inked my Cuttlebug Floral Fantasy embossing folder with VersaMark, and ran it through with glossy paper. Then, I sprinkled black embossing powder over the embossed image, “cooked” it with my handy dandy embossing gun & TA-DAAA! I love the glossy look of embossing powder (

Yummy Candy Box

It was an entertaining and fun, but long, exhausting weekend with the granddaughters –aka- The Baby Divas. (Sigh!) They grow so quickly, but sometimes not quick enough - surely my daughter will agree that she too, looks forward to the day both girls are potty trained! Anyway, I was actually able to find “me” time, and work on my craft projects. Here’s a little candy box I made to present hand dipped chocolates - I think the chocolates were more work than the candy box, but so worth it! What a yummy way to present Valentine sweet treats! Creative Ingredients: Stamps: Rubber Stamps by Stampin’ Up! Paper: Stampin’ Up! Orchid Opulence, White cardstock Ink: Stampin’ Up! Rich Razzleberry, Kiwi Kiss Tools: Spellbinders Shapabilities Fancy Tags Embellishments: Ribbon, Twinkle Jewels

Yummy Cupcake Box

The Christmas holidays have passed, and here we are at the dawn of a New Year... with Valentine's Day just around the bend! When I was a little girl, I just loved the whole Valentine’s Day buzz…. The fun reds, pinks (my favorite color!) whites, cupid, hearts and lace. One of my favorite things about Valentine’s Day was creating homemade Valentines cards for my friends and family. And of course, the sweets! Like most children, I had a sweet tooth. Well, I’m a big girl now, and I still have a sweet tooth! So with that, here is my first project I am sharing with you - What nicer way to present a yummy sweet treat to your Valentine, than this cute cupcake box?! Thank you for checking out my new blog, and I hope you will continue to join me on this adventurous, creative journey! Creative Ingredients: Stamps: Stampin’ Up! Holiday Best Paper: Stampin’ Up!
