Welcome back, Friends!  Come join me this week for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #78 - "Season's Change!" This week's challenge is to create a card or project using ONLY colors of Fall!   Oooh, how pretty, huh?! All of the flowers on this card are handmade. I know, you're probably thinking, "oh what a lot of work!"  Actually, it really is not. I use paper punches to create the flowers and leaves. So, whenever I have very small scraps of paper I punch them with my floral punches & store them in a box for future use. It's very convenient for me to have the pieces already punched too. Then, whenever I get bored or often while I watch TV, I "form" the flowers & store them away so that they're ready when I need them. This is my box o...

Hah! Try saying that 10 times! LOL It was so hot outside today - 97 degrees.  Ugh!  I thought I'd jump in the pool to cool off, but even the pool was too hot!  Seriously, there is such a thing... So, I spent most of the day in the comfort of our air conditioned craft room.  Here is my hot summer day creation :   I love the theme for this card, "A Monochromatic Floral-Shabby Twisted Sketch with Wings!"  which is a combination of a few different challenges Here is the inside of the card, also a pop-up, although I was not able to get a better picture...  Look at the little butterflies dangling on the twine! All of the "designer paper" for this card is hand stamped by MOI - I so rarely ever use printed designer paper because I love, love creating my own! On this card I used "Fabulous Flourishes" by Tim Holtz, "Documentary" by Prima , which were stamped in Antique Linen Distress Ink and Stampin' Up! Soft Suede .  All of the flowers are a...

Here is another card I created, using an image from Di's Digi Downloads "Maisy Modern and Kaboodle on Swing" (Click on any image for a larger view) When I first saw this digi, I could already visualize a finished creation - I knew exactly how I wanted to showcase "Maisy Modern and Kaboodle on Swing." I coloured the image with pencil and ink, then added Stickles "Star Dust," and Stampin' Up! Crystal Effects for just a bit of bling.  For the swing handles, I added twine. I chose not to use any designer paper for this card. Instead, I created my own background. For the clouds, I created a stencil by cutting cloud shapes out of some scrap paper, then applied ink using a sponge dauber. I did the same for the grass. Most of the flowers are handmade, with just a touch of Stickles “Diamond”. However, the white roses are from ZVA creations . Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #57: "Mother's Day" In honor of Mother's Day, our challenge this week is to create a card or project with some sort of lady or woman on it.   Our sponsor for this challenge is PRIZE: $25 Gift Certificate This is a 2-tier box. The top portion is a basic box, of which I added dividers. Here is another AWESOME challenge at KL Stampin' N Scrappin'   Challenge # 25: " Organic " This week's challenge is in honor of Earth Day. The challenge is to use something organic on our our card.  Oh baby! Did I have fun with this?!  My creative juices were flowing, and I was inspired to create this card, by a wall art piece my sister made for me a few months ago.  (Click on the image for a larger view) I created the background using yellow, orange and green pigment inks.  I used torn paper to create template masks for the sun and skyline,  then stamped the forefront with the grass scene.  The flowers are handmade (of course, you know me & my paper flowers! LOL!)  All of the other elements are real.  I collected small leaves from the shrubs in front of our house, as well as twigs, sprigs of juniper, and the "gravel" is poppy seeds!  I was quite happy with the results of this project.  Eve...
