Happy Monday, my crafy friends!  I am super honored to have been invited as Guest Designer at The Shabby Tea Room this week. I love, love the fun challenge themes at the Tea Room, and I am always so inspired & awed by the stunning creations of Debbie and the Shabby Girls. Lovely Lavendar & Lace is a Winner!

My creation won the Week #35 Challenge: "Lavendar & Lace" at The Shabby Tea Room! Christmas in Lavendar & Lace & Flowers

With Christmas fast approaching, I've been busy creating not just cards, but also gifts, packaging and decorations.  Here's a little something I made, using non-traditional Christmas colors.  How about this lovely lavendar & lace & flowers gift? The lavendar rose is handmade & sits so prettily upon a paper doiley, which is mounted on lavendar pieces cut with oval & scalloped oval nesties. I embossed the background paper with my favorite embossing folder "swiss dots," then added some very decadent lace which I bought from Wild Orchid Crafts. There's just a small touch of bling onto the lace, in which I added small purple rhinestones. Remove the "flowered sleeve" .... Ooooh.... there's more! Aha!  A shutter card! And look - there's a little surprise!  A yummy chocolate bar! Another Badge!

It has been a little while since I won a challenge badge,  so I am very happy to announce that I made the TOP 3 for  Week #22   at   THE SHABBY TEA ROOM! Reflections...

The Shabby Tea Room Week #22: "Reflections"   This week's challenge is to create a card or project using the photo below for inspiration. Here is my interpretation... An inside view... I created the mirrored "chandelier" using silver metallic paper, which was cut with oval nesties. The black swirled backing of the "chandelier" was cut using shapabilities fancy tags . See the chain from which the "chandelier" is hanging? I used an old earring! (I just knew that broken piece would be of use someday!)  Other materials used for this creation : Stamps: Canteria by Prima Ink: Vintage Photo (Ranger Distress Ink) Paper: Lullaby Lane & Life's Portait (Webster's Pages), Black and White Cardstock. Tools: Scallop Oval and Oval Nesties, Fancy Tags Shapabilities (Spellbinders) Embellishments: ZVA Pearls in Pewter, White Satin Ribbon, Floral findings, Hat pin & beads, Mini Roses & Gardenias, Crochet Lace . It's Hip to be SQUARE!

The Shabby Tea Room Challenge #5 : " It's Hip to be Square" This week's challenge is to create a card or project with squares, using this picture for inspiration. I see lots 'n lots of squares!  Here is my interpretation - another pseudo-CAS card (for me, at least).... I have been wanting to make a shutter card.  This is my first one... Mama Found a Brand New Blog!

I discovered a new challenge blog today: "The Shabby Tea Room Challenge." I was so inspired by the DT designs & partisipant's entries! Such gorgeous, gorgeous creations - I just had to play! The Shabby Tea Room Challenge #4: "Embrace the White"   The Challenge this week is to use this gorgeous photo for inspiration, create a card or project using mainly white or cream and one other subtle color. ....And check out the prize for this challenge!  Here is my entry.......
