Happy Tuesday!   Well, after a bluster and rainy night, the temperature outside has dropped again.  It's rather cool outside, and I'm wondering , "will it ever stay warm?"  I am so ready for the shorts, tank tops, swimming and basking in the sunshine already >sigh!<  I'm such a sun worshipper! LOL!  So here is a card that makes me think of warmer weather.... As usual, all of the flowers on this card are handmade by yours truly - I am thinking I will probably never get over my paper flower making obsession!  I really wanted to showcase the flowers on this card, so I kept the layout clean and simple.  I used my Nesties Label #10 to create a frame for the sentiment, then embossed it, using Cuttlebug Swiss Dots embossing folder. I finished off this creation with a border (MS Lattice), and the pearl trim.  Viola !   This card makes me think of a lovely, sunshiny, Spring Day.... I had to squeeze some "quiet time" in today, because I did not have anytime last week to do anything.  My 8 month old "Baby Diva" has kept me busy, as she is staying with me while her Mommy is out of town till Wednesday.  Fortunately, she is such a good baby.  She must have known I was feining for some crafting time, because she was so cooperative! I was kind of all over the place with this card.  It has a little bit of everything: Stamping, stitching, handmade flowers ( you know me & my handmade flowers!), border punches, and a pretty butterfly.   I wanted to try making a new flower.  The larger flower was created using an apple, star & daisy punches.  Each of the flower centers have a touch of bling by Viva Decor glitter pen in "Hologram."  The butterfly was cut from a Nesties die.  I blinged up each layer with stickles & hit with 2 coats of Crystal Effects.  I used Kaiser Craft pearls in "Bliss" for the body & coiled some

I love the black and white colour combination - so crisp & clean.  For this card, I kept it CAS. To create the focal item, I cut two pieces in black, using my Nestie Renaissance Heart Pendant. I then scored and folded both pieces to resemble a "fan," and glued both pieces together. The white center piece is from the same Nestie collection. I see lots 'n lots of squares!  Here is my interpretation - another pseudo-CAS card (for me, at least).... I have been wanting to make a shutter card.  This is my first one... Here is another AWESOME challenge at KL Stampin' N Scrappin'   Challenge # 25: " Organic " This week's challenge is in honor of Earth Day. The challenge is to use something organic on our our card.  Oh baby! Did I have fun with this?!  My creative juices were flowing, and I was inspired to create this card, by a wall art piece my sister made for me a few months ago.  (Click on the image for a larger view) I created the background using yellow, orange and green pigment inks.  I used torn paper to create template masks for the sun and skyline,  then stamped the forefront with the grass scene.  The flowers are handmade (of course, you know me & my paper flowers! LOL!)  All of the other elements are real.  I collected small leaves from the shrubs in front of our house, as well as twigs, sprigs of juniper, and the "gravel" is poppy seeds!  I was quite happy with the results of this project.  Even Scott and my son were impressed.  Their compl

That was fun....now why haven't I done that before? LOL!  I have a bunch of Studio G clear stamps that I never really use, but FINALLY found the opportunity to use one for the greeting. Then, to pull the look all together, I stiched along the edges of the entire card. This is a clean & simple card for me.... no hand made embellishments, but I like the look

The Cupcake Craft Challenge 85...Make Your Own Flowers Here's a challenge that is right up my alley!  Those who know my work, know how much I love to make paper flowers.  So how could I possibly resist a such a challenge? LOL! TA-DA!   Here is my creation...... Yes indeed, I made every single flower on this lovely card - all 25 of them... and the leaves too!  Okay, okay, I must confess that I did not make all of these flowers at once... Because I often use my own handmade flowers on most of my projects, I  cut and assemble these flowers when I'm bored, need something to do, or most of the time - while I am watching TV.  I have been wanting to create a card to showcase these handmade flowers, and at last!  Here it is!  So, thanks to Victoria at the Cupcake Craft Challenge for coming up with this theme!
