Got Ribbon?

On our way home from the Great American Scrapbook Convention in Chantilly, Virginia, my sister-in-law, her sister & I took a trip to the Berwick Offray Ribbon Outlet in Hagerstown, Maryland.  It was a long, but scenic drive from Chantilly, not to mention we still had to drive back home to Suffolk Virginia - yet, it was so worth the trip.

Oh my silky, satiny, shimmery, glimmery, sheer goodness! I have NEVER seen soooo much ribbon!  I was like a kid in a candy store, and all I could say was "WOW!  OMG!"  And the prices?  UN-BE-LEIV-ABLE!

Ribbon here, ribbon there, ribbon, ribbon everywhere!  Aisles and aisles of ribbon, trimming... on the walls, along the walls...
UNHEARD OF!  I had to take a picture to make sure I read the price on this spool of ribbon correctly - Yep, it really does say FIVE CENTS!
I kept throwing spools and bags of ribbon in my cart.  In the end, I bought over 200 yards of ribbon!

....And the GRAND TOTAL is

Only $5.46  - How awesome was that?!!  Friends, if you are ever in the the Hagerstown, Maryland area, take a road trip to the Berwick Offray Ribbon Outlet!  Oh, and along the way, be sure to stop by one of the roadside peanut & popcorn vendors.  The caramel corn, kettle corn and pralines are YUMMM-MY!!!

Season's Change

Welcome back, Friends!  Come join me this week for Stamptacular Sunday Challenge #78 - "Season's Change!" This week's challenge is to create a card or project using ONLY colors of Fall!   Oooh, how pretty, huh?! Our SPONSOR this week is  Magnolialicious Our lucky winner's PRIZE:  Here is my DT creation for this week's AWESOME challenge theme.... An inside view of the card, and custom envelope/box. All of the flowers on this card are handmade. I know, you're probably thinking, "oh what a lot of work!"  Actually, it really is not. I use paper punches to create the flowers and leaves. So, whenever I have very small scraps of paper I punch them with my floral punches & store them in a box for future use. It's very convenient for me to have the pieces already punched too. Then, whenever I get bored or often while I watch TV, I "form" the flowers & store them away so that they're ready when I need them. This is my box o...
